? Year of the overcoat, part II

This coat has a BUTTON-out lining and collar of black wool. The inner lining is cotton I believe. I have NO idea of this coat's age... I was think older though, due to all the neat gadgets on the collar and the neat inner vertical pocket, at the chest.

Here are both linings (the black one has satin at the top half). Both linings have satin sleeve linings.

Ok, if you could tell me what approx. years you think and why.
I'll post the suits later on this evening... I think I found a really neat one! Here's a peek.. It has 6 buttons but the top two are practically hidden! It's really incredible looking!

Ok, that's it. Thanks guys..... AGAIN!! By the way, that's my eldest son in the photos; he has a fairly thin build, so almost everything looks loose on him.

Off hand I'm thinking early 70's because of the lining aganst the outer styling but It woudl help to see any tags/labels..

Anyway that lining should keep the old butt warm in this freeze we're in right now....

Yeah, I guess you're right about the 70s, no chance of the 60s huh? I
despise the 70s and don't want to think that this wonderful coat was from
that era! It's kind of Burberry-ish on the inside, at least the inner lining is!

Oh well..... wanna compromise and call it 'late 60s'? If not, I'll be forced to send our snow south to your house! And we have a LOT OF SNOW here! Actually, I love it.... so you can't have it!

Don't despise the 70's till 74-75..that's when things took a real header....by 78 we were lost

And we have plenty of snow of our own down here......lets hope it stays North .
