offered a New Schott 689HH for 500, back is very short only 25 inches long, any others?

Got the Schott black 689HH in 52, another Schott 585 XXL in brown, and a Vanson Hardcore 52 from 3 different callers within 24 hours. Many thanks to all those who callled, and for those who are afraid to talk to potential buyers, I do not buy if you do not call.

Found one nice Eastman A2 but it was way mis sized and returned, still looking to buy a brown cordovan cherry color 50 R jacket.

Louis,

It might be helpful if you gave more details on what your business or charity is... you are obviously on here aggressively buying these specific larger sized jackets, and you've alluded to a Veteran's charity, and with your head butting with members here it might help your cause if you spelled out your purpose. If not, totally understand.

I bought several and gave them away. I can not do it anymore because the alteration vendors will not alter them, they way we need, anymore.

As for this website 3 people offered jackets one never followed through after committing to t transaction, one did not want to discuss detail over the telephone and then went nuts after we declined to buy and one did not like answering emails about the jackets condition.

All 3 were asking the highest prices we were ever offered on the same type/brand/condition jackets, all have had them for sale here for months and all are still here for sale. Of course at those "going to sell fast at this bargain price"...:D

This occurred while we bought 8 other jackets ranging in price from $250 to $1050.

That should tell you about those 3 guys sales abilities and practices. :eusa_clap

+1, as again, he mentioned it was charity related but all the Vets are size 50? Confusing...

And I don't blame people for not transacting via phone, most of us would like a paper (email) trail.

That is one of the most ridiculous statements I have ever heard in my life. If one needs to put conditions on a sale one does not sell too much. (As I have seen here)

I even pay cash, person to person, that has to be REAL terrible also...

Yup using the telephone is real risky, talking/knowing a buyer/seller is a real bad idea. NOT

It was just terrible this evening when the person (who sold me a jacket this evening) called: one call, all details discussed, price agreed upon, invoiced, paid in full. All done in 20 mins or so, terrible just terrible. I should call him back and tell him the guys on the internet said we did it all wrong.

You ask who why where, I buy and pay you don't give anything and still are inquiring....sad and sick

We is mostly myself and 2 others that helped ship/deliver and pickup the jackets.

YOU did not do anything and were not asked to do anything.:eusa_clap

FYI
Why 50 52 54 56s

At the larger sizes the jackets could be altered and cut to size for the amputees without getting additional leather materials.

AND

I donated several to the guys at Walter Reed USA Hosp. Wash DC. The place my mother met my father when they saved his life 40-41, where I was born 43 , and then where both mom 2009 and dad 1999 died.

I also donated 100 plus tee shirts and pairs of shorts to wear in PT over the years when taking my parents back and forth.

Just last month over 50 more ts and 30 pair of jeans also

What have you given them?

Louis,

I don't get where all of this attitude is coming from... you came on this site to buy jackets, you made a bunch of vague statements about why and you have been nothing but negative with the members here. These are not people running a business, they are trying to sell one jacket and want to be protected. When you came to members with help about a jacket and they took time out of their day to answer your question, you were again mean and argumentative.

Perhaps if you had explained what you were doing up front, did it with a little less attitude and sarcasm, and were open to something less than "your way or the highway", your interactions here would be more successful. It sounds like you are doing something that's very generous, so attacking the people on here, questioning what we do for charity, etc... seems out of character for someone who's willing to do all of this work.

Naming what I give to certain charities that you don't give to would be a fruitless exercise, don't you think?

I will chalk it up to you perhaps not understanding how to communicate in this type of forum, and wish you luck in your endeavor.

Just got the tracking information on last nights terrible telephone transaction, I will have it Thursday. Absolutely a very bad way to buy or sell anything, according to you.

I could care less about what you think, say, or do. Go and try to educate someone else with "your" ways, they do not work in normal everyday commerce.. I did not ask and do not need any advise or attempted help from you. Just go far far far away.

Real clear now?....

I may just have a new Enfield jacket custom made out of Horween SHF Cherry by Vanson. I will buy and supply the leather direct because all the stuff here is just so "valuable and collectable and pretty".

Good luck with your charity work and your anger issues. Also, if you do get that custom Vanson, be sure to come back with some nice pics so we can all see how it turned out.
