WTB: Motorcycle jacket - see inside

Hello,

I am looking to acquire a straightforward black motorcycle jacket, like any of the styles pictured below.

You know, just a simple shorter black MC jacket, dress collar, few pockets here and there, zippered sleeves; that sort of thing. Aero Highwayman, Vanson Enfield, LL Dominator/Corsair, etc. are perfect examples of what I'm after. It would make me real happy if the jacket had zip sleeves and bi-swing / action back. Incredible how hard it is to come by such style where I am!

New or used, doesn't matter. Just as long as the jacket is in a reasonable condition, I'm good. Not too bent on brands either - quality cheapos are welcomed (and preferable as a matter of fact, as I am kind of short of cash right now), just as long as it's something decent. You know, heavier, cowhide jacket. Not the mall sorta stuff.

I know eBay is suppose to be the place for such a thing but there's just too much crap to go through and the good stuff is far and far between, so I wanna try my luck here first. I would much rather deal with someone trustworthy, who knows exactly what they're selling, before risking it with eBay.

Well, let me know if you've got something of a sort you think you could do without.

Cheers!

lol Yes, that's the kind of information I should've mentioned.

Size 40 - 42 or L should do fine.

Oh look, and even the measurements are as perfect as it gets. Just when I'm looking at one of these, this had to pop up and you had to show it to me... First thought when I clicked on the link was where and how do I get a thousand bucks.

Thank God almighty, the seller won't ship outside the US. And no, I won't even ask. Let's leave it at that. Next! :D

Mendel, plenty of Road Vhamps around - this happens once in a lifetime. 5oz horsehide, man! That's something not even Stu would dare to pull off. Check out the condition! Not to mention it's your size. You know it makes sense.

Just to help out, Ivan, don't Vanson Enfields run a tad small, so wouldn't this be more like a "regular" 38? ;)

lol looking at the measurements, I'd say it's just about perfect but looks like the jacket's been sold, and for a BIN no less. Phew! Though it would be cool if my lady, to whom I showed the auction yesterday, secretly bought it for me and will surprise me for our anniversary, whenever that is. That'd be cool...

Exactly what I thought this afternoon, PHEW. Now I can start worrying about which pair of engineer boots to save up for again ^^

...and it won't happen. Ever.

I was hoping someone from here bought the HH Enfield, would love to see some more photos of it.

I know it's not what you're looking for but I have an older Schott 118 Perfecto size 44 I don't need. I'll let it go for $250.00.
It's a 44 but it fits like a 42 because in the 80's when this jacket was made, the 118 was sized a little smaller. then the modern version.

Mark, thank you for the fantastic offer (at $250 that's a steal) but I already have a Schott Perfecto. It's not 118, but really too close to justify another Perfecto purchase at the financial situation I'm in. I'm trying to have one in each style, and I have a CR and a Perfecto, so now I'm after this more British design and Levi's 'denim' leather jacket. If I had more money, no trouble, but as it stands...

Louis, thanks for the links, but neither of this is what I'm looking for. These are all CR's and a turbo premium ones at that (I can see the Langlitz going for over a grand) so not really what I'm after.

Just remember that the jackets for sale on ebay craigslist etsy etc have measurements that were made by people that often make mistakes. Then the jackets sell very reasonably, just like an Aero jacket size 50 with 23 inch sleeves listed in the sale ad that had 26.5 sleeves. It sold for 275 USD than was resold 6 weeks later for $525 with the correct sizes listed....

You can get real good prices if you know the measurements of the model jackets you want and buy, based on manufacturers' sizing.

Got a lovely old steer hide Highwaymen - if you think you can squeeze into a 38, but realistically its more M than L. Going cheap!

Breezer, got a HWM, but thanks for the offer! :D Sorry, didn't see your post.

Still looking for one, though. Again, vintage cheapos will do.

Hi Monitor!
In the style you're looking for, I'd recommend the Ostmann by Eastman Leather (aka the Luftwaffe jacket, not the Hartmann): 2 good side pockets, 1 chest pocket, one huge inside (pistol..Luger...) pocket, the Riri zipper is a jewel, and the blue moleskine lining is soft, warm and comfy. And it comes in black!
Cheers!
