This is so true and has cost me a shit ton of money, contributed to my receding hairline and overall leather ennui. It’s honestly why I hate custom jackets. Because the microscope becomes quantum and nothing goes unnoticed. Even a damn 1/2”. Even a 1/4”!

One of the reasons I'm never going full-on custom anymore is because I cannot even bring myself to as much as think about these numbers anymore. I just wanna say "Size 40 is fine, thanks." but I know I can't because reasons.

Here's mine. The sleeves has shortened a bit (about 24" straight down). The back also has shortened a bit (about 24.5").
And it's only about 5.3 lbs (got this from doing math on my bathroom scale).
TBH this is about as heavy as I would go on this jacket. It's not so much the neck on this one but the bulky shoulder seams always digs into my skin when I put my hands in my pocket. Still one of the most worn jacket though.
Brown CXL FQHH, Cotton lining, Antique brass Talons (Not good), contrast stitching. I got this one from Aero's sale page maybe two years ago. There is also the lining prolapse thing. Not major I will take some inside out photos.

True. I think almost every size 46 Vanson I have bought fit better than any one of my many custom jackets.
