They made sure to get in the obligatory Donna Reed and June Cleaver references and they even threw in a Princess Grace.

Today's society revolves around pop culture icons, without those references, most people wouldn't have a clue what genre is being echoed on the catwalk and I'm not sure they really meant any disrespect to Princess Grace. She truly was an elegant fashion icon. That aside, I like it! You always hear about top fashion "experts" talking about filling your closet with classic clothing lines and designs...I'm glad to see that more vintage inspired pieces will be hitting the streets. I hope it sticks. It's difficult to find vintage inspired clothing as it is without scouring the internet for small independent designers!

But ... early '80s New Wave fashions (if not hairstyles) were influenced by the mid '60s. So are today's.

The most awesome thing I've seen all day. I forgot about this. I like being reminded of good stuff.

Ok, I'm leaving now....

{ETA} - I love The Jets, too! Ok....

Love it all. I LOVE the 80s so much! They are way up there with the 30s as my fave decade. I'm more of a popular culture lover than a fashion lover. I love it all 1890s to now!

We have so gone off topic.
