Wow!! Their prices......have gone up just a little since I got mine.

I sure dig that ponyskin grizzly, though. That thing is sweet.

Mixed feelings. Good to see them being worn, but I prefer the look of the old site. It was less fashion-forward.

oops ... not really convincing. The models look unhealthy and the fits are bad ... but I think all in all it fits the current (fashion) appearance of Schott ... unfortunately.

Site looks really, really bad. Much too fashion-oriented. And their prices... I'm glad I got my 618 Perfecto when it was still $580. Which was no more than 1.5 years ago.

They really need to get in touch with Carrie and Wade to learn how to fit a jacket properly and how to take a nice picture of a jacket being worn....seriously!

Eeh, yeah, not impressed. I really liked the old site, had a certain retro vibe, but that is irrelevant. What really bothers me is that for a company that has always claimed to have been making jackets for the motorcyclists, their choice of models isn't very convincing. Still, as long as they won't be messing with the jackets, it's cool. Plus they haven't even put up any new photos of the actual jackets...

Agree!
As with Eastmans EMC (or whatever it's called) sub-site, the models aren't the kind of image I'd want to be associated with.

Yes, the modelling is bad, most of them seem to be one size too large. And they are not shifting all the sizings to just S,M,L,XL etc., probably to reduce the production cost. I was once quite interested in their jackets but with so many quality small production companies, there is absolutely no need to go for Schotts anymore. If you are a biker, you can easily get an off the shelf Vanson in the US with better construction.

For whatever reason it seems that a lot of the leather websites are poor, ie vanson, LW, JL. I don't mind schott's updated website but I did prefer the old one. There are some new pics of their jackets so that's nice but it's hard to take the models they used seriously...

Agree will all of the above... I was thinking they would have added more pics of the jackets, as the old site often just had one front shot, but the new site really is bad. This seems to complete their transition to a fashion brand. The old standbys will still retain their motorcycle cred, but what was the last time they released something new that could actually be worn on a bike? A wool perfecto? I think not.

That's what shocked me... a new site but not really any new photos?

lol @ wool Perfecto. And yeah, I cannot believe they're STILL using the cow 618 back image for 618HH.

You know who really needs a site overhaul? LW - because this

hasn't been acceptable since about 1994.

Lost World don't actually care much about online business I guess. The site is just there to show that they 'exist'.

As for the Schott site, it looks to me like some readily available template site which they use to modify. It is very likely that they hired some cheap web design companies to construct it. But pawineguy is right, pictures of the backs are nice indeed.

These 2 look a bit odd......

These 2 actually look ok...

Schott are aiming for a very different market than the likes of Aero and such; it was inevitable that they'd switch eventually to a website that doesn'tg play to our crowd. LW? Something tells me that Stuart probably thinks an up to date web presence is "unmanly", and for "jacket queens" only. lol

Absolutely! It's probably part of the overall Lost Worlds' no whistles, no bells 'vision', but the amateurism of it is another reason - among others - that really put me off buying anything from them/him. There's no excuse nowadays.

Site looks a bit of a dogs dinner to me. I don't think I've seen so many different styles on one website for quite some time... The menu doesn't even fit in the little frame they've got on the left?

At least it mostly works on a phone now which is I guess what the main aim for it.

Yup, have to agree with all the others, the old site looked better - probably because you couldn't see the jackets (seem to be) sized wrongly on the models.

Never had a Schott but in truth I'll admit I've always had a soft spot for their 645 retro car coat.
