Would you care? Would you fix it?

I fully recognize that these are relatively minor nits and no one else but me will ever notice. On the other hand, I have noticed, and I will continue to notice. Moreover, I paid a healthy sum for this jacket.

This tells me that YOU care, and you are likely not going to let it go, regardless of how others on this forum respond. It sounds like you paid for a 5 star experience, and perhaps feel like you only got a 4 star one. I stayed at a 5 star hotel once and one of the employees was rude to my wife; however, everything else about the experience was fantastic. But that one act spoiled it for me, because my wife was affected. So it really depends on how we each process such things: I imagine for some it would have beaded off like water on a duck's back. Question is how do you feel about it? I think you paid for and expected something closer to perfection, so your expectations were not met. Perhaps it's like paying for a brand new pair of John Lobbs; I'd expect to get a pair of 'firsts' and not a 'second' if I paid full price. 50% off on eBay, I'd let it slide; but if I purchased new at John Lobb's, I would not. But that's just me.

I agree that over time the small difference of the cuff will probably even out and not make a difference. But if they're willing to correct it while it's still new, you'll likely feel better about it, and end up enjoying the jacket more. Like the above gentleman said: life is too short to drink crap beer: if you pay for a bottle of Kristal, you shouldn't have to settle for a flat one without any bubbles.

Folks, thank you VERY much for the input and sage advice! I hadn't considered the notion that the original jackets (e.g., 30s half belt) -- from which this jacket is modeled -- include such imperfections (often considerably more). You are so right. The cuffs are staying as is.

Thanks again and no need for further responses.
