Would It Help To Wet A Cap Before I Stretch It ?

I've just bought a new cap from B!Wear but it's a little bit tight.
A couple of days on the stretcher opens it out but after a couple of hours of wear it goes tight again.
- Am I leaving it on the stretcher long enough ?
- Would it help to wet the cloth and the suede sweatband before putting it on the stretcher ?

I'll try dampening the cap in the hat band area.
I'm new to using the stretcher - how long should I leave the cap on it ?

If you can stand the anticipation I'd leave it on the stretcher for a few days. I've done that and had good results (although not from B! Wear. They always fit my big 7 3/4 head)

If you have an inexpespensive hat jack put a plastic bag between it and the hat. My hat picked up stains from the wood when it was wet.

I'm glad this got brought up I have a couple that are just a tad to small for me and was wondering if they can be stretched.

This just reminded me of a friend of mine who collects fitted baseball caps, and the first thing he does after he gets a new one is leave it on while he takes a shower. Says it perfectly conforms it to his head. Makes sense.
