I have been experimenting with using my 3/4" curling shackle and then boosting it with a piece of bent 1" PVC tubing on the side of the hat. It is a work in progress.I’m waiting for a 1” curl.

I wasn't referring to the size of the curl though, I was thinking of the curl going around 3/4 of the hat, the back and sides of the hat get curled but not the front.
Working on your hat today. The hand held works really well and makes setting the brim curl easier and allows me to do a better job more quickly.Wow that’s a beast hopefully used on my hat this next week or two
