Thank you! I have this photo that I took right after I cut my hair short last summer.

It's about the same length as in my icon for example. My hair is a little bit past shoulder length though at the moment, but I'm going to cut it again soon.

do you have any pictures of your hair being set, that way we can see how you do it, and i was wondering (you may have already answered this) do you use hot rollers or a curling iron or pin curls? and can you show us how you place them if you do use hot rollers, your hair is so amazing i would love to try this on my self.

I use pin curls pretty much all the time. Sometimes I use a curling iron as well but very seldom. Here are some photos of my hair in pin curls.

I vary the set a little sometimes but this is the way I usually do it.

Johanna,
You just made many women VERY happy! (That sound you hear is all of us stampeding to the mirror to try and copy your set)
Thanks for the pictures! :)

How neat you are! All you need is a hat & you are out the door. That looks much less painful than the pin-curls that are flat to the head.

I agree!, could you tell us a bit more on how you did this? was your hair damp or wet or dry did you use any setting lotion, if you could post a video of you doing it or step my step pictures that would be amazing, or we could all come stay with you for a night and watch you do it ha-ha lol

I take each section of hair and comb it through so it's completely smooth, and then I comb it with water until it's pretty damp. It's mostly the ends that need to be thoroughly wet so they stick together while I roll the curl. I've never tried setting lotion but when I've rolled the hair up I spray it with hairspray and that works good for me.

I set my hair after I've washed it with conditioner, but I usually let it dry first because otherwise it just breaks.

Slumber party at Johanna's! Wouldn't that be fun if we could all get together for something like that?

Thanks so much for the tutorial--they are so helpful but I'm sure they're a pain to photograph and such.

lol Most of you would have to travel pretty far for that! I really should make some kind of tutorial film some time though. And I'm so flattered you appreciate what I do with hair and such :)

She really does look like the original Barbie.

It's almost kinda scarey.

I saw this one woman that had all this plastic surgery done to look like Barbie.
She even had eyeliner tatooed on and she doesn't pull it off as close.
