At first glance I thought this was another '50's hybrid. But as you can see although it says American made it has a YKK #10 zipper. the pocket zip says USA. Looks to me maybe 1980's? Nice hide, can't be sure what it is and has kind of a tea core thing beginning. Solid jacket very heavy.

What do you guys think?

Good call. The knit+leather cuff is Golden Bear's signature.

Sent the pics to Golden Bear in SF . They confirmed, but couldn't confirm the hide. Maybe it's wishful thinking but I think it's Horse. Thanks guys!
