I for one agree with the assesment of kid rock. I only know who he is as I live near the slum they call Detroit. I say near, I live 40 miles away, which is way too close for my comfort. He is an example of everything bad in this area. And yes, I am working on relocating.

I've never seen the attraction of this guy. To me, he looks ridiculous.

(Normally, I would not go this far in condemning someone or something. But when you are in the public eye, you open yourself up to criticism. Its part of the game. And what does my opinion really mean in the overall grand scheme of things, anyway . . .)

I don't know who he is but he could use a few lessons in fashion and taste.

Thats 'kid rock,' a rock musician (duh). I think he is/was involved with Pamela Anderson. Thats how cool and famous he is.

Ah well. One wouldn't expect the height of fashion from the typical rock musician, I guess. I saw a TV show the other evening which was a tribute to jazz trumpet man Wynton Marsalis. One thing that impressed me is how well he was dressed throughout the various segments of the show. There is no reason a musician can't dress well and be successful. Marsalis is a perfect example.

I am not familiar with Kid Rock as an artist; I only know of him by reputation / image as a "celebrity". His aesthetic in general would be far from my personal choice, but regarding the hats in particular, his biggest problem, imo, is that he appears to wear them at least three sizes too large.

In the photos of Sheen in the OP, I can't quite put my finger on why, but my instinctive reaction is that he looks less like a man wearing a hat, more like a man trying to cover a bald spot. (I know he's not bald at all).

I don't know whether he gives hats a bad name, or just a new look, but several years ago, Carlos Santana took to sporting a fedora with a reverse brim:

Flipped up in the front and down in the back. For a little while, Bailey hats was offering the Carlos Santana "Smooth" model, in either fur or wool felt, with this style brim.

No comment on the doormat he wears as a guitar strap...

The irony is that he lives (and portrays on television) the self-centered, immoral lifestyle Hollywood has promoted for decades, and he's now getting eaten by his own hypocritical tribe.

You will note that that his employers became concerned when it would affect their income.

1)They were concerned when his antics became brazenly public drawing unwanted attention to a lifestyle and actions that a large portion of the public would not "understand" and consider "bad."

2) They became concerned when the risks to his health both mental and physical interfered with the show.

3) They became concerned when his bickering with the execs became a public issue with Sheen attacking religion / ethnicity backgrounds which doesn't play well with the public.

The execs were willing to sweep a lot under the carpet but Charlie continued and finally made it impossible for them to continue with him.

Under all of this is some anger over something that he can't resolve and he is going to be eaten up by his own lusts if he continues on this track.

Unfortunate because I thought he was funny in Two and a Half Men.
