Who Did You Just See Live?

I really love live music. Sadly, haven't seen a concert in about 3 years. I have tinnitus, and I just can't deal with the aftermath of whistling and humming several days later [emoji35]
That is really too bad. Live music is so much fun. Lady ToE has the same issue as you. There are shows she will attend, but she usually pays for it.

my wife tries to wear ear plugs for kind of same symptoms. She forgot them last nite but no issues today thankfully.
Last night, Lyle Lovett and his Large Band at acl in Austin. What a show!
I've got to get a phone with a better camera!

I did not go, but my wife took our two daughters (12 and 9) and our niece (22) to see Taylor Swift at the Skydome (sorry Rogers, it will always be the Skydome...) in Toronto for her first of two shows*. We received free tickets from the Military Family Resource Centre, the Canadian Armed Forces family support organization.

Presumably Swift's people give them out, as these were $200 CAD EACH in the 100 level. No way the MFRC bought those.

*Dammit - she brought out Bryan Adams to duet on Summer of '69 on the second night (he played a smaller venue on the night of her first show). Now HE is a concert to see (our eldest 'heard' him live - my wife was eight months' pregnant when we saw Adams and Colin James in Victoria BC back in aught six).

Saw Roger Creager again last nite at an outdoor venue in Belton,TX. Another great show by him and the band. Gotten to know a couple of his guys a little bit, so it adds to our enjoyment of the show. (Still can't get pics to post here or thru tapatalk) Chuck

Saw Adams a few years ago doing solo acoustic at a small local theater. Very good musician and performer.

Last Saturday, David Byrne at one of the local outdoor venues. I never took the opportunity to see the Heads when they were around, but this more than made up for it. One of the most innovative and unique performances I've ever seen. Eighteen songs, about half TH tunes. Unique stage show with choreography and excellent visuals. Plus, of course, great musicianship.

This Friday, Foghat is playing for free at the casino north of town. Only the drummer is original, as both Lonesome Dave and Rod Price have passed away.

At least those opening bass drum pounds at the beginning of "Slow Ride" will be authentic.

Sent directly from my mind to yours.

Also, last friday we saw Dale Watson and his Lone Stars at Bertram, TX. What a fun show those 4 guys put on!
Worth 15 bucks just to hear I lie when I drink..(And I drink a lot!!)
I have only seen him play live once (with The Rev. Of RHH) and it was a lot of fun. He coming around our neck in the near future and I will be there. It will be nice to see him with his band.
