I usually focus on WWII military uniforms and accouterments but I have become really interested in the post-war GI look, like the 52-20 club.
To that end, I really have no idea where to find an appropriate immediately post-war type of shirt. I'd prefer not to wear a dress shirt, but something casual like a flannel work shirt or rayon sport shirt with some kind of bold pattern.
I found this shirt on eBay, but flannel shirts seem to have been pretty similar for 30+ years to my untrained eye: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VTG-1940S-M...464fe22630%3Ag%3ATqkAAOSwbwlXCx7E&h=LAQEcQtu3
Can anyone give me an idea of what to look for other than just taking an eBay seller's word for what era a shirt is from? Are there any sellers you recommend who may be able to point me in the right direction? Thanks!
