Started with a modern era Whippet. Then modern Strat.... Then a nice Portis... then a couple of Gannon’s..... So of course I need a steamer

So I snagged a Jiffy J2 missing a few parts and a hat nozzle. Quick order to Jiffy, and I’m in business a few days later.

When does this madness end? I’ll need a new home with a hat room in a few years at this rate.

Well for me I moved on to the heavy stuff like working at a 108 year old hat store. Then I ODed by moving on to working selling Stetson and Dobbs hats for Hatco. Now they ship me samples all the time. Oh ya in order to take the job I had to move 1200 miles away from my wife. Ya I got it bad.

I must have known that reference but I honestly did not, I'm getting old. I've read about it yet the name meant nothing, not even a brain fart in a remote region of grey, nothing.

I thought you might have known about them, but I admit it was bit obscure .

It ends with one of your relatives dumping your hats for 5 or 10 bucks each in a garage sale, or listing them on ebay. Then one of the other guys here, (probably Moon) picks them up at the garage sale or wins them online and posts selfies wearing your former hats.

There's a little note card going around that was posted on a table at a gun shop that reads something like, Dear Lord: When I die, please don't let my wife sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

I guess that can apply to hats as well!

My wife didn't say anything about my hats until I had more than 30.... then she made me get a retail hat display so I could put more boxes in the garage.

Today is is dedicated to the American blue hat in the colors of autumn

Autumn dishes begin. Tomorrow "tortelli con la zucca" (Tortelli - kind of ravioli - with pumpkin and others ingredients) prepared by a friend who is a master.....

I am stalking what I think is one of your hats on a site and every hour saying to myself « No, you just bought one last week, think of the shipping costs, where will you put it, etc. » followed by « but it’s sooooooo nice, look at that ribbon and I don’t have one like that and I saw one like that on another Loungers head and it looked soooooo good and it needs to go to a good home and my home will be nice for that hat and and and ... ».
