Stitching, and with gauntlets folded back. Those worn by William Powell (as Philo Vance) are rough textured.

Does anyone make these??

Nice thread, i have been looking for gloves too.
Are we talking the "dress gloves" section then?

(i like the casual look of the glove fliping up by accident on that illustration)

I second the recommendation for Chester Jefferies. Here's a photo from a catalog of theirs that show a pair of dress gloves that are very similar to the ones you are looking for:

My price list may be a bit out of date, but dress gloves are shown to start at $52. Good luck!

I think that those are white kid, as opposed to chamois/doeskin; nice gloves, though.

That's on purpose. All the gloves shown do that. It seems to have been a style. I wonder if it had a name?

I see it often in illustrations in Esquire from the '30's. From other points in the film where I grabbed those ("The Kennel Murder Case" with William Powell), the texture is a bit rough and suede like. We've had threads on this before and I think Marc identified them as chamois, but they are not easy to find in just this style.

fairly common on ebay uk. Often listed as womens gloves, so check male and female categories. I've sold plenty of them myself in the past.

Hard to tell from that photo at the top (combination of my monitor and eyesight, I fear!), but they look to me a lot like the gloves in Raiders? Maybe one of the Indywear specialists?
