Where can I buy a Cervo?

Where can I buy a Cappellificio Cervo to replace the masterpiece I bought six years ago? It's getting a little ragged. I like Cervos better than Borsalinos, so please don't tell me to go that route.

I've looked all over and can't find anywhere online or anywhere in San Francisco or Oakland (my area) where they are still sold. Can anybody help?

Try Mrs. Dewson's Hats (in S.F.)

Though the link says Borsalino, the Web page shows some Cervos - but I'd call first (415-346-1600) to check current inventory.

2050 Fillmore St. (at California)
San Francisco, CA 94115

You might also try Fino Fino in Menlo Park for a selection of Biltmores, Borsalinos and Optimos:

Thanks for the help everybody, but...

Mrs. Dewson's on Fillmore Street in SF where I bought my Cervo five years ago no longer sells Cervos (I was in the shop two weeks ago).

Fino and Fino in Menlo Park doesn't sell Cervos (I was there last week).

The Cigar Afficionado article is ten years old and out of date.

Arnold Hatters in NYC informs me that they stopped selling Cervos ten years ago, and Worth & Worth doesn't return my e-mail queries.

My only hope is Besdor's comment that Cervos will hopefully be available in the U.S. soon.

Are Cervos now on the Endangered Hats list? I'm willing to pay big to replace my beloved Cervo, and it just mystifies me that, will all the hatters and hat sellers in America, I can't buy a Cervo!

Where are the Cervos, Part II?

Are they here yet? I'm still trying to track down a hat shop in the USA that sells Cervos.

Does a fella have to go to Italy to get one? I might have to commission a custom reproduction of my beloved Cervo.

What I like about my Cervo is: 1) The crown is not too high. Being tall already, I don't need a tall crown. 2) The brim is wider than usual. As a fair-skinned person, I need the sun protection. I also like the narrower than usual band.

Can anyone help a brother out?

I know this might sound like an odd response, but have you tried contacting and asking Cervo themselves where their hats can be found in the US?

Granted, their supposedly "English" site does not exactly inspire confidence in their language proficiency, but I would think that they would know far better than most of us who sells their hats ...

Look up "South Street Hats" in Philadelphia and ask for Oscar.

He also sells Lagormarsinos, which some here like.

We had the salesmanager from Cervo here last week. We discussed the future of the brand here in the USA. Cervo has not been sold here that much for many years. We hope to reintroduce the brand shortly. We will be introducing a few styles at a time. I hope to start selling them by the end of the year.

Excitement Plus - Barbisio my new middle name

Guys it takes a lot to get me excited...I'mm 55 already:eek: :rage: ...but today was special.:p :p

A friend was visiting Biella, Italy for business and I prevailed on the person to visit the Cappelleria Cervo to get yours truly a hat! Natch!:eusa_clap

It appears I will soon be wearing a Barbisio 61 in a Cognac colour (similar to that below) on my melon - directly from the factory shop.

Cervo has bought the Barbisio name and is putting it on their hats...back to the future... Barbisio disappeared in Italy in the 80s

My friend did not have time to visit the incredible factory ...it was a flying visit ...but said that whole area is full of wonderful 19th century Italian technology businesses.
