When is Straw Hat Day?

Only THREE more days...!!! Getting lined up.

One day I'll find a straw I think looks good on me and then I'll consider one.

I agree with the No Rules theory... weather permitting is what I think...and I do worry about rain days,,, only have the one (my Avatar) VS Milan... next Panama baby !!!

Hey Art! You figure quite prominently into this display; your fingers were first to fondle four of the finest. Somehow I need more, though! Another VS Milan, perhaps? Hmmmm....

In practice, of course, wear 'em if you've got 'em! However, when I was poking around looking for some info about SHD, the things I found were fantastic, depicting what must have been a great reason for a quasi-holiday, festivities included. The making of a fun time (albeit a marketing ploy) to swap hats looked they had one heck of party. Photos to follow.

Even absent the great straw hats, I don't know who said it first, but... "If you've have holiday, I'll celebrate!!"

When it Straw Hat Day? Is there a need for it to be on a set date? Today can be straw hat day...along with a shot of single malt and a few cashews to go along for the ride!

For some of you fellows, that might just put some hair on your chest! Hahahah !!!

May 15, traditionally was the day, Cindy. It's almost a very serious thing, and should NOT be ignored (where's that "tongue-in-cheek" emoticon?) Just like white shoes after Labor Day, etc.
Judging from the photos I found, looks like they made a regular hootenanny out of it.
And that "puts hair on your chest" line was an all-time favorite at my son's Cub Scout camping trip, back when... We could get those little guys to try or eat anything just by telling them that. Yup, he's 26, and still remembers.

Way to go, Rusty! Here in Copenhagen I'm a little more generous with temperatures, though. The first day past 68°F (equals 20°C) is "Ole-ficial Straw Hat Day"
