This is my current motorcycle. It combines the style of the 50's with a modern power plant. It's a 2016 Indian Chief Vintage and has 18,000 miles on the clock.

more a fan of the ww2 Indians but nice ride and colours, couldn't be doing with all that polishing though (live in scotland)....my ride is a twist and go, so won't bother with a photo.... (suzuki Burgman 400 had it since new yr 2000)

That's a really nice looking bike. Do you reenact and show it at events? Or take it on a run to Hunstanton on bank holidays. Either way it's a nice bike to ride for a day out, so thanks for posting a photo.

Hi Mr G,
My wife and i do attend 1940's events as either civilians or me as ARP and her Womens Land Army but this bike at 1967 is 22 years too new ! Though i do fancy getting a WW2 era bike.
I generally use it to go to town or to quaint old villages with nice pubs to stop in. I ride in a military Barbour suit and open face helmet but have thought about digging my old issed DPM kit out and attending a few vintage bike rallies.
I tend to avoid Sunny Hunny as it gets full of bikers on modern bikes trying to go there as fast as they can. Sadly there are no vintage Brit bike clubs near me.

I apologize for the poor photos, taken many years ago. My current bike is an '09 Heritage classic, along with the '78 Shovel head, a project bike. Also have had the '05 Softail standard. Also photos of my '47 Chief.

With no bike clubs near, that's a shame, I do know what you mean about the modern bikes and speed, I only see vintage cars when I visit and lots of new bikes.

You would not look out of place at the Aces cafe on the north circular though!

You need to post a photo of said military Barbour gear and bike.

I've had plenty of modern bikes and toured far and wide on them but the old Beaser give me the biggest smiles and i can do 100% of the maintenance and 80% of any fixing myself.
I was out on it today. Next time i'll get the missus to take a pick

Gorgeous bike. Makes me miss my Honda CB, which was sold last year. I own another bike now but I rarely ride on it. It's not a vintage one, it's a fairly new CBR fireblade, but it already needs a massive overhaul. A friend sent me this link https://yourmotobro.com/best-motorcycle-gps/ and said I should install one on my bike. Now I'm wondering why my beast had no gps from the start...

Not a bad feature. It would not be an option for me since I've traveled on and know all of the main and back roads in NH over the past 56 years of bike riding. Bought this on in 2011 and have put 60,000+ miles on it and still runs great. First bike was a new 1961 Triumph TR6 then a 1976 Honda 250 and then this one. Honda is very dependable and have never regretted picking it up. As for our gear, the wife and I always wear this or similar gear (i.e. the vintage look). Wearing knee high patrol boots and breeches isn't the norm around here but I do feel a bit more protected as a result. Always wear armor .and high vis jackets. Helmet is high tech with Bluetooth comms, stereo and cell complete phone access. Always get the looks though but don't really care. Never know when the protection will come in handy.
