Was that ordered from Shavemac directly? If so how long ago? I am interested in a stiffer Shavemac, used for face lathering with creams.
Shavemac makes terrific build-from-scratch brushes. Owner Bernd Blos is very accomodating.
Here are the specs for mine, which has plenty of backbone:
SHAVEMAC
23 mm Silvertip D01
Knot Shape: Fan Shape
Hair length ( Loft): 50 mm
Shape:102
- I would also recommend a Rooney 3/1 Super Silvertip. Mine has a 22mm knot diameter, 47mm brush loft.
- Or a Simpson Duke 2, Best Badger, with similar qualities/dimensions.
I also have two larger, more luxurious brushes from Morris & Forndran (from the enigmatic Lee Sabini):
- L7 Butterscotch 26/49 2-band hybrid fan blonde badger
- XL2 Tortoise 28/50 blonde hybrid bulb
I face lather with soaps, like D.R. Harris, Mitchell's Wool Fat, Tabac, etc.
