ELC Werber 1729 is not made from "Warhorse" horsehide,would that be a problem?

That Werber does look nice. I am undecided about the caramel color, but don't like the lighter knits, even though I know its original. If they offered it in an alternative, mid brown knit and in Russet Warhorse, I may be tempted....
But... then again at £650, I would order a Goodwear...
Then again, 12 months + ....

Only if you want it to look warlike - perhaps not authentic for 1933

It just really depends if you want new or secondhand as some of Eastmans early jackets had a slight 'Off the shoulder' look about them though I think they have gone now for a more wartime fit.
As someone who has owned a few originals over the years I would settle for any really as they all look roughly the same except for small details, the only major deviation from each jacket is the leather colour, Russet or seal. Oh and never had one with collar stand so I cant comment on how that effects the fit around the collar.

I had the same. Warhorse hide. very nice, but after HW, the sleeves shrank far too much.
