I for one do not want to be considered a Herbicial Maniac. :D
Therefore, I only eat the veggies I need, to save the rest of the flock for others.

The only ones I can't abide are the hipster-type vegans who lecture you about health between drags on an "all natural" cigarette.

My wife has several friends who are rabid apostles of this "paleo diet" b.s., but I feel pretty confident that our hunter/gatherer caveman ancestors weren't puffing marlboros or drinking Crown& coke whilst not eating processed foods. If the diet you adhere to is pre-bread, wouldn't it be pretty much pre-beer too?

I understand vegetarianism for health reasons. I have a good friend who is veggie because she believes it's better for her. But I don't condemn or tease her for it, and she doesn't holler at me for being a meatatarian.
And I like veggies and fruits, as do my husband and boys.
For me, it's the militant "You're a murderer for eating meat!" weirdos that irk me. Plants are considered alive: they respirate, they reproduce, they move, they expire. All life cycles. So wouldn't it be herbicide for them to kill and eat plants for their own benefit? Murderers! :D
I just tell them for every animal they don't eat, I eat two.

I love the murderer types. They say that and I tell them they murdered a carrot. They say the carrot didn't have a central nervous system so it doesn't feel pain. I tell them they didn't listen close enough to hear them scream. :p That usually scares them. :p
I say: Good! More meat for me!

Vodka is made from potatoes, right? They just need to find some alcohol made from meat, fruits, or veggies.

I know what you mean. The anti vaxxer I was talking about a few pages back is trying to raise her daughters all natural. She has chickens in her backyard frinks un pasturized milk, but couldn't stop smoking during her pregnancies. Her husband is a joke too. He can't even change a diaper. He called her once while she was grocery shopping. & she had to stop, come home & change a diaper.

Well at least he didn't have to change a diaper. I wish I hadn't had that kind of experience. I am still emotionally scarred. :p:p

There's a soda pop line in NY state. East of the line it's soda. West of the line it's pop.

My husbands relatives are from the other side of the line.

Where I come from, a soda is a specific bread product.

Calling minerals a soda is weird. ;)

And that's the main thing that bugs me about all of the "health nuts" here in California--they all seem to be of the opinion that they'll live forever if they can somehow manage to stay away from all of the things they've deemed "harmful". I'd much rather eat cheeseburgers and pizza and die at the age of 70 than live to be 99 years old by eating wicker and seaweed.

People who are obsessive about healthy eating don't really live twenty years longer. It just seems like it.

I once had a militant vegan try to explain to me that the by-product of a vegetarian diet did not carry the same offensive aroma as that of someone who regularly consumed meat.
I can assure you, as someone who works in the plumbing trade, that this is a complete load of crap. Talk about delusions of grandeur and an inflated sense of self purpose....

Makes no difference of which I'm awareo f to humans, though there is certainly a big difference between a housecat fed on dry food and one that eats wet food. Dry for the win!

I had a go at that ram raiding a couple of weeks ago. Took the wife along. We rammed the farmers fence: "Now what?" She demanded.
"We grab the lot," I told her, "and get the flock out of here."
