What's something modern you won't miss when it becomes obsolete?

Interestingly, people with a genetic aversion to cilantro most often describe it as soapy tasting.

That is interesting. I get the same feeling when I eat a bar of old spice.

Thats why I only eat Dove these days, made from lotion :)

I've walked up to people with "tribals" and asked them what tribe...the blank look they give says it all.

Anyway. I wouldn't mind some ink...but I'm waiting to find myself befriended by a head hunter in a South Pacific Island and adopted into his tribe...then I'll get it.

What I'd like to see obsolete is the idea that having a tattoo makes you a bold, unconventional rebel. The 65-year-old grandmother who checked out my groceries today has a tattoo. I expect at any moment to discover that my mother has a tattoo with her favorite saying, "SHUT THE HELL UP."

I could never get tattoos myself, though. They'd clash with all my scars from the factory, the meat saw, and the popcorn machine.

To each their own Lizzie....but I tend to agree. Not everyone has to have one. Although I do like the traditional look on some ladies...I tend to be old fashioned about ink. Mine are all service related and old fashioned classic looking. More importantly a tshirt can cover them all.

In about 40 years there are going to be a lot of AARP members with ink. It's going to look like a geriatric biker gang at the early bird special at the Golden Coral.

I personally cant wait until I do not need 50 different types of batteries for the stuff in my home. AA, AAA, C, D, 377, 256, size G, and so on.

Its time to stop the madness!

I'd be happy just to have the radio in the library use just ONE battery. 3 Eveready 722 45 volt "B" batteries, an Eveready 215 22 1/2 volt "C"battery and a big old Willard storage battery for the filaments.
