Yeah but there are still plenty of people that are absorbed by it like the Borg. :p

Resistance is futile!

I'm on fb, but I don't farm, play slots, crush candy, or anything else they have.
If you have that kind of time, you can do something more productive than click a mouse.

I'll be damned if I'll put one more penny into that skinny little twerp's pocket. And all the people from my past that I have any interest in being in touch with I'm already in touch with, and they know where and how to reach me. So Facebook, in all its mutations, is the one thing I've got no use whatever for.

I'm happy to encounter some like-minded people here. :)

Interestingly, I use Facebook as a hosting site for some of my pics I've posted here. :p But I do belong to some of the groups that reflect my interests such as military history and 1920s and 30s music, as well as chat with a couple of FL members who only post here occasionally.

Most of my wife's family lives in the Chicago suburbs, so she finds Facebook is an easy way to communicate with them "on the cheap" (as one of her brothers puts it). I signed up just to see what all the fuss was about but, except for a few games I enjoy playing, I don't really see the attraction. But then, I'm not narcissistic, I don't want or need to let everyone know what I'm doing every moment of the day, and I'm not trying to promote or sell anything.

The games....Zombie that's how it starts. :D
You start out playing Farmville because it looks neat, then you find yourself absorbed by it.
Next thing you know, you're going to online farm equipment and cattle shows to learn more about the industry, figuring out how to get the highest yield from your crops, then it takes over your entire life. :p
