Ooo, ah, ooo! You got me thinking now!

  • Brown horsehide Aero Barnstormer
  • Stone / navy saddle shoes (leather soles)
  • US army officer 'pink' pants
  • Another pair of Levi's 201xx jeans (mine are ten years old and pretty knackered)
  • A custom made, oversized Gatsby in brown fleck tweed
  • Astrakhan-collared 'impressario' overcoat

And I've already got more shoes than my wife!

This sounds trite, but all I want is for my wife and daughters to live happy lives in good health.
I'd also like an end to all wars, terrorism etc.
But we all know that's not going to happen any time soon. :(
Peace to all.
Happy Holidays.

I find this talk of "socialism" in this respect disturbing and disrespectful towards those that have suffered in socialist countries and those that still do. It is also rather ignorant, given the health care reform leads to a situation that is the norm for the past 100 years in countries like Germany. (Certainly not a socialist country, when you don't count the episode of the GDR). In an international forum, you should use more caution.

Leaving politics aside: I have been fortunate with delivery dates, Aero always delivered as promised so far. Good luck with getting your stuff soon!

On my wishlist: more time to wear the jackets I already have and probably the re-lining of my (much loved) HWYMan next summer.

I'd like to point out that communism and socialism are different beasts, and that Sweden (Which has been run by a socialist coalition for 80-90% of the time since WW2) always rates highly on benefits, happiness of the population and many other positive surveys.

Isn't Sweden also in the top ten for suicide rates worldwide? I remember hearing that on the news. Anyways, a waist length 30s 40s horsehide preferably cordovan jacket in a sz 48 is on my list.

28th. No country from Western Europe is in the top 10.

As for the wishlist, I'd love to stumble across a high-armholed Tweed suit (or, for the current subforum, tweed/country overcoat). I found one that was perfect in every way once, except that it was riddled with holes.

I wish I could remember who it was, I but remember hearing a story about a US President who was asked by the press what he'd like for Christmas. Not wanting to seem greedy, materialistic or otherwise out of touch, he replied "a pipe and some slippers." When the article was published, many world leaders and various worthies were also quoted - they'd ased for an end to war and suffering, world peace, etc.... and the POTUS wanted "a pipe and some slippers." Got to feel for the man... lol

I have seal A2 on order from Aero - it was due for Christmas and giving what a few other posters have said I might just get it for my birthday in summer ;-)

For _next_ Christmas I'm planning for a Seal B-6 and will probably order it in summer so I have it for next years "cold snap" as we call 3ins of snow and a country at a standstill in Ireland. I had thought of a B3, maybe the Aero "Civilian" version with the slash pockets but the coldest I've experienced in Ireland or Poland so far is only -12Cm (that's 10 above in old money) so it might be overkill and won't get the wear.
Of course if "global warming" continues it might become a necessity.
An alternative to the B3 would be the Aviation Leather Irvin - not authentic I know but well made, practical and exchange rates permitting "cost efficient".

Also thinking of a Pea of some description - the Daniel Craig QOS version looks good if I can find something that's not TF.

Wake up one morning to find myself moved to a mountain retreat lock-stock-barrel with the money for my house in the bank. Other than that, I'd settle for a Good Wear Californian and a lifetime supply of homemade cherry vanilla ice cream.
