Good old greybread with nut-nougatcream and sugarbeet-syrup.

Stepped out last night and enjoyed some shrimp and grits at a fine local soul food establishment.

Vietnamese shrimp with salmon and rice.

Hubby's request tonight? Salad!

So, mixed greens topped with grilled chicken breast (with my homemade seasoning salt - kosher salt, fresh cracked lemon pepper, applewood smoked black pepper, cumin, coriander, garlic powder), perfectly ripe avocado, tomato, cucumber, bacon, hard boiled egg, parmesan cheese. Choice of Thousand island or bleu cheese. Buttered rolls on the side.

Down and out sick the past few days with a head cold so the Lady made me some chicken noodle soup. It was perfect for the past few days, but since I felt much better yesterday, she made tacos! She is the best!

Peanut butter and apricot preserves sandwiches on parker house rolls with a glass of chocolate milk on the side.

Simple, good, healthy, satisfying, easy and inexpensive.

Last night was cheese tortellini with spinach and artichokes in a parmesan sauce.

Tonight my kids are over, so it's looking like spaghetti and meat sauce.

Last night, quick-fried thin sliced breaded pork chops and gravy with candied sweet potatoes. Finished off, of course, with a piece of gravy bread.

Picked the kids up from their grandma's and helped myself to a little ham and bean soup, cornbread, chopped up Brussels sprouts fried in bacon grease, and rice crispies treats for desert. All homemade, of course.
