I think I have a lime, so he can squeeze some into his beer after he adds the salt. Does that make it more classy? (I'm not a beer fan, so I don't care either way.)

Braised cabbage with carrots, onions, garlic, ginger, jalapeños, and hamburger meat, seasoned with honey, lemon juice, soy sauce, and sriracha. Served over basmati rice (imported from the foothills of the Himalayas) and a generous helping of more sriracha sauce.

Pinto beans cooked with ham bone.Fried potatoes with onion and red bell pepper.Corn bread.

Blue corn bread.

This sounds about perfect.
Throw in some turnip greens, and it sounds like most of the the meals I ate growing up.

Well.....we never had blue cornbread. I don't think I ever even saw any blue corn meal down here before the 90s.
