Steak and Link Pie, marrowfat peas with splashes of malt vinegar and mashed spuds. I will substitute a Guinness for a McEwen's again.

I made a casserole dish full so it takes me awhile to get through it...............................................I might watch Braveheart while eating it this time. Helps getting in the mood to eat leftovers.....again.

Hold the anchovies?! Heresy I say!
I agree, but I may have gout and the little off the menu until further notice.

I made Vietnamese Chicken with Bok Choy for the first time. Big success! My eldest son's girlfriend is 1st generation American-Vietnamese and she loved it.

Well, today is a very special day for hubby. He's receiving a HUGE promotion that he's been working towards for over a year. Not one, not two, but THREE raises included with it. And "Senior" in his new title. Very proud of him, so I'm making one of his favorite dinners.

Tonight we'll be having a slow-cooked chuck roast, mashed potatoes with gravy, and roasted carrots. If I have time/inclination, I'll make him some of his Grandma's biscuits.

Shhh! He doesn't know about this dinner. Nobody tell him!

Tomorrow it's bbq ribs. I have an old American mate who gave me his family recipe (on pain of death to disclose to anyone else ;) ). They're already in the fridge with the rub mixture. Next step the marinade and then slow cook in the oven before finishing off on the barbie with hickory. Can't wait ;)
