I have discovered that canned sliced potatoes, drained and added to bacon grease make quick and easy home fries. I have always disliked the potatoe peeling part of that process.

I have one from the 40's-50's, somewhere...

Tonight it's beef ribs, 4 slabs actually, smoked with pecan wood.
Also Italian Sausage and Texas Hot Sausage (for me) over cherry wood.
I'd do veggies but I just don't have room on my plate. ;)

Smoked pizza?
I've done that before.
The meats I use are already cooked (some I do prior to making the pizza), so essentially you are melting the cheese.
Of course different wood makes a different tasting pizza, but you already knew that.
Unfortunately there is no such thing as bacon wood James.
The Green Egg, I've been meaning to get one of those.

Would Mrs. Axley mind some company for dinner? We could chow down and talk about beauty, and the menfolk can retire to the backyard to make pasta or whatever it is you fellas do in a group?

My buns were moldy, don't you just hate when that happens? :D So I noticed I had a couple of hard taco shells, and made my turkey sandwich with them. Pretty tasty if I do say so myself!

No pasta, we're both on low carb. Which btw my wife has lost 22 pounds and I haven't lost but 2!
I think she's sticking them on my side of the bed at night, and I'm just absorbing them. ;)
Unless I bring my old car over to show them (keep it somewhere else), your menfolk would stand outside and talk about how hot TN is.
Or I could teach them how to use a hatchet to cut up pecan wood for smoking.
Kinda like whittling but more useful.
If it's next year, they can swim because my wife SWEARS we'll have a pool. Yeah, I'm not taking care of it.

Tonight it will be leftovers from last night. Even giving a neighbor 1 slab of ribs, I still have enough left over (with the sausage) for another meal.
