At one of the pubs you had the Bud Light and oatmeal stouts at?

Grabbed two jumbo Vienna Beef Chicago dogs with everything and two chicken/meat eggrolls and a bag of nachos with diet Dr Pepper.
Enroute home I stopped at a favorite pub for the Red Sox-Indians game, excellent play by two outstanding teams.

Two different bars. Crappy beer was all that was offered at the venue where The Drive-By Truckers were playing. Fortunately they (crappy beers) were preceded by the Oatmeal Stouts at the bar where I was watching the Giants' victory over the Mets.

BBQ chicken was at a little local restaurant.

Tried Dickey's for the first time: Brisket, kielbasa, slaw, rolls, fried okra, onion tangles, baked potato casserole. Side of Dr Pepper.

And then I pondered that Dallas can produce one of my favorite styles of barbeque but its baseball team has a horrible home post-season record. Faust? Karma? Another baseball jinx?

As much as I love sports, I love food moreso. I would say that you win big by having such good barbecue.

Another evening with grilled cheese sandwiches and chicken noodle soup; not that I am complaining in the least. I love grilled cheese with zesty dill spears and sour cream and onion potato chips.
