Quesadillas are common Saturday lunch fare here. Leftover meat (chicken, steak, beef, pork carnitas, ham - whatever I have), cheese, maybe onions, beans, corn, cilantro. Dipping in salsa, or sour cream. Mmmm.

Oh, and I use whatever tortillas are on hand - corn or flour.

Original belgic waffles (Made in Belgium!) and my tanzanian Bio-Instantcoffee.

These waffles taste very contentful!

This evening is sirloin, BP, dinner rolls, salad, Boston Lager & UFC.

BBQ ribs, lentils, rice and salad cooked up by my Panamanian neighbor who is a fine cook.

2 egg omelette with Cheez Whiz, Cremini mushrooms and green peppers. Cheez Whiz makes a great omelette filling when combined with your favorite vegetables .

Glass of cranberry cocktail.

Traditional roast beef lunch with Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings.


We will open a bottle of Merlot and enjoy a glass with our meal. One thing that I miss with roast beef is a dash of mustard, (it can trigger a migraine,) so I go heavy on the horseradish sauce.
If we have enough room, we shall indulge in profiterole sundaes after our roast beef.


Then, following the clear up, I shall probably top up my wine glass, sit in front of the TV, and fall asleep.

Doesn't get any better than Sunday roast lunch. We'll be home in the UK for a week soon and I will get my proper roast beef fix.
