Wild boar sausages cooked in red wine with veggies and potato wedges. Afterwards, I think a little ice cream with home-made chocolate sauce.

Last night my husband made roast beef & swiss sandwiches. Chips & pickled okra on the side. Yum!

Is wild boar considered a delicacy, or is it something you can pick up at any grocer? Is it a popular meat?

The reason I ask is that wild pigs are rampant here - so rampant that they're a big problem, actually. We have a friend with a large ranch, and he traps them. They take them for processing, and he mentioned that the meat is sent overseas, where it is popular. So I'm curious!
