Cold cereal and milk. Had to go to work at 2:00 a.m.

Hoosiers don't mess around when it comes to their donuts and pastries. That's one thing I learned for sure from my sister-in-law.

One egg (over easy), one slice whole grain toast, and some turkey bacon.

Lily's having chocolate chip pancakes. Hooray for a day off from school!

Smoked sausage links, scrambled eggs, home fried potatoes with onions and green peppers, biscuits with butter and molasses, black coffee, then a little later a plate of fried plantains brought over by the dear Costa Rican lady next door.

Just back from the diner - Belgium Waffle with two sunny side up eggs - yum.

And carrying over a theme from the "trivial things that..." thread, the butter came in those thimble-sized plastic containers that (1) you need about 10 of to butter your waffle (waitress brought three and then three more when I asked for more and then three more - and I am not kidding - I do not slather butter on thick, but there is not a lot in those little packets) and (2) only about 1 out of 2 open the way they are designed, so, since I needed each one (see prior parentheses), I had to hack into half of the darn things with my silverware.

That said, waffle was fluffy inside with just the right amount of crispness on the outside and the eggs were out of a stage set they looked perfect and nicely "broke" into the waffle creating a yoke and (9 thimbles worth of) butter sauce of wonderfulness.

I love James, but man was that a pure taste preference twisted into some sort of James' Holy Writ - but of course, it was all in good fun.

My best friend for the last 40+ years has the same extreme dislike for egg yolks, so I was used to it long before I met James. lol
