Cold turkey bacon, cottage cheese, plain yogurt with honey and cinnamon and cardamom, sliced apple, and iced tea. That is pretty much it.

Civil War style breakfast: hash, black coffee , hard tack type biscuits also known as "ships biscuits".

Is it safe to assume your hardtack was free of weevil larvae and/or other insect infestation? lol

A wonderful eclair - heavy custard cream, some kind of airy pastry and rich chocolate on top. That's a breakfast.

no weevils to worry about, the grocery store sells fresh made old fashioned ships biscuits , they are probably not as hard as the originals back in the 1860's

they also call it "Pilot Bread"

This morning with my coffee I had a cinnamon roll and a banana, compliments of the kids. Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there!

Hubby was thoroughly spoiled for breakfast. Chorizo gravy with homemade biscuits (his grandma's recipe), bacon, and fruit salad (cherries, grapes, nectarine, pineapple, with a honey/lime dressing). He loved every single bite!

For today it was Whole Grain Waffles with real Vermont maple syrup and turkey sausage links .
