I made honey white bread last night before going to bed. Woke up this morning and fixed french toast from the bread, scrambled duck eggs, pork bacon and garlic and chardonnay chicken sausage. French toast topped with real maple syrup and sweet cream butter and washed it all down with OJ. I'm stuffed.
:eeek:
I'd say so, but I bet it was good. ;)

Eggs, ham, coffee cake (made with rice flour), and cheese grits.

Oh yea! There is nothing better and more nutritious than homemade bread made with just basic ingredients. I've been meaning to look into rice flour and experiment with it. Right now, I just use King Arthur all purpose flour for all my baking needs.

I also use soy and almond flour, for low carb.
The soy does have an acquired taste, but the almond is good.
I'm working on getting my almond flour pizza crust perfected.

Last Christmas my wife got a vita-mix. I was a little taken aback by what that cost, but one cool function is that she can (and does) mill her own flour from whatever - wheat, oats, rice, you name it. We didn't eat store bought bread for a long time after that, not much until the baby was born and right now she doesn't really have time, cuz baby T doesn't like to be put down for long.

I must agree with you Caramel Smoothie ,we have been making our own home made bread for years.
Once you get used to home made bread store bought taste like styrofoam .

The only time we buy bread is for the few months in the summer when its just too hot to bake and then we buy bread from gourmet shops that only use fresh items that go into the bread.

BTW thanks for the Christmass wishes and nice to talk with you again.

Eggs, sausage, coffee, and low carb toast. All at 5am. :eeek:
Well back to work today, can't sit around lazily enjoying brunch.

Little smokies?
That's good eatin. :D
We have a brand down here that isn't too bad with those, called Bryan meats.
I went to HS with one of the kids, always smelled like hickory.
I'm kidding! :D Nice guy though.

Hash browns with cheese and leftover Christmas ham in them, and black coffee, before heading out to work.

The damned BBQ sauce took longer to prepare than I thought it would. I even had to go run out and get some beer for it.

Ham and scrambled eggs. Biscuit, juice and a protein shake, then off to work. My wife always offers grits,(she is from the south) but have never developed a taste for them. Sorry to offend the Southern section of the lounge!

yea James, all of my wife's family is from the south and love to have their eggs sunny side up and then mix the grits and eggs all together. For me just give me my eggs and taters and I am a happy man.
