If you can eat nasty pukey oatmeal then you can eat Haggis. Haggis is Waaaayyyy better than oatmeal or Cottage Cheese. It is tasty if they use the right spices and go easy on the oatmeal. Have a heart---eat some Haggis. :p

Better than apple cinnamon oatmeal with cream on it..? Doesn't look like it. You must be nuts..!! :D

Now you know why the Irish beer has a high alcohol content, because you want to be somewhat blitzed if you have to eat haggis.
I can see eating sheep, potatoes, and other food items you'd have on the farm (or that the neighbor will trade you), but some of the food, I don't know about. Then again, I'm a Southerner and we eat pigs feet (I don't but many Southerners do) and pork rinds. ;)
Scotch and eggs, I've still got to try that.
Oh Scotch eggs? Either way...:D

So you have never eaten liver and onions or heart back there eh? Same thing---liver, onions, heart, spices etc., etc.
Now pork rinds with salsa---that is what you have with beer man!:cheers1:

James, I had liver one time.
A friend of mine and I were on summer vacation from High School, and decided to stop by a cafeteria for lunch.
We saw what looked like roast beef, and got it. Then at the end of the line, an employee was cutting roast.
At first we wondered why they had roast in 2 places.
Then after eating the first roast, we realized it was in fact liver.
I can still taste that, 25yrs later.
Eww.

I've eaten fried chicken livers before. Gizzards too.
And chitlin's.
Drinking was involved.

I've also eaten boudin down in New Orleans. That's made with pig's liver and rice, not sheep parts and oatmeal, but I guess it's kind of like the Cajun version of haggis.

And, obviously, being in New Orleans, there was alcohol involved.

Hurricanes seem to come up around Pat O Briens. :D
I remember being there years ago.
An uncle of mine lived down there, and the 2 times I went, he paid for everything.
Not only for myself, but for 2 other relatives, and a close family friend.
Somehow New Orleans seemed much nicer when he was footing the bill. :D
