A leisure suit.

A kufi.

Pants where any of my gluteal area is threatened with exposure.

Advertising or anything written (except in very limited cases).

A short sleeved dress shirt.

Anything phosphorescent or neon.

I would. I'm not saying this to denigrate anyone who wears them, just not for me. The majority of western boots being sold today, think Ariats, would come close to this style with the low heel and short tops, save for the wide square, duckbill platypus toes.
A word of warning: Do not sip a mouthful of hot coffee before reading Bamaboots hysterical retorts. The resultant spray from not being able to suppress a spontaneous fit of laughter, might endanger your computer to function.

I would wear Ropers. I would not wear flip flops outside the shower. Nor would I wear a turtleneck sweater outside a U-Boat or tramp steamer.

I'd love to wear a dark turtleneck under a sport jacket or even with a suit, but usually it's too hot here for either one.

"What anyone wears is none of my business, wear what you like, but there are some wardrobe faux pas that are so cringe worthy that you wouldn't be seen dead in. I don't mean some of those appalling disasters in the not for the fainthearted thread, just the everyday things that you see out and about."

I nailed this one. I stopped wearing my underwear over on top of my trousers when I rush to work.

None of these items do I have a problem with on other people. If they want to wear them that's fine with me. But I know what I look good in and what I look stupid in.

Would never wear:
Plaid
Crocs
Skinny jeans
Any T-shirts with big pictures or logo's on it
Pro team sports jerseys
A tight fitting suit
Sneakers of any kind unless I'm working out
Track suits/sweats, unless I'm working out.
Those stupid 3/4 length shorts.
"Wife-beater" T-shirt
Anything Orange
Anything Pink
Any clothing in which the maker label (if showing) is a bit too prominent. I like low-key. And I don't like to advertise if I'm not getting paid to.
Ball caps
Hats of any kind. My hair has always been far too nice to cover up, ;-)

Probably more.....

To clarify the no orange clothing rule I mentioned above: For Loungers in other countries who maybe are not aware of this USA peculiarity. Most county jails (at least in California and Oregon) have inmates wear loose fitting orange-colored clothing. Which is unfortunate because I look good in orange, but it's almost impossible to separate the inmate/orange "meme" in peoples minds.

On the other hand when I lived in Chile there is no orange stigma and I wore my orange Guayabera shirt a lot.

Have you been prone to wearing orange jumpsuits?

Of course, I am kidding, but although I like orange, as well, I don't recall the last time I had an orange piece of clothing.

You get the idea...

I've seen some denim jeans around very much like this. They seem to ape modern motorcycle leathers in look; I guess it's an extension of the fashion for leather jackets in a biker style (though I doubt any of them would be particularly useful in an off from a bike!).

Shirts with button down collars, hate them!

D

I don't mind them so much..... though I hate the look of a shirt work open-neck with the points buttoned down.

Interesting. Where I comed from originally, certain colours you have to be careful with as they make tribal / politcial statements. Orange has long been one of those, though it was rather mitigated for a few years hen the Irish Republic's alternate soccer uniform fetured an orange shirt!

I don't think there are many colours I particualrly avoid as a rule.

I wouldn't be seen dead in flares, though, and I won't buy trousers with a hipster/low-waist cut.

That's pretty much my list. I'd just add cargo pants, shorts, running shoes, track suits and any bright colors. I tend to wear black and grey.
