So...my uncle that claimed to find another wristwatch on the subway every couple of months died and I got a cigar box with a few watches and bands inside.
These sat in a drawer for years until yesterday when I figured I'd take them into a jeweler and see if any were worth even winding up.
The scoundrel...I mean jeweler (name available upon request) informed me that 3 were garbage, but he'd give me $20.00 for the Omega which he could use for parts.
I declined his offer, figuring I'd wind that one up and if it kept time, I'd start wearing it. I was totaly clueless about what this might be.
Then I poked around on the good ol' internet and it appears that this is a vintage Omega Seamaster 600 in stainless steel, with no scratches and it's keeping time just fine.
Anyone have an idea what kind/color band may have been on this originally?
If anyone is knowledgeable about this timepiece, I'd love to hear more about it.
