Could have been worse, could have been gold. :D
We've had this discussion before, but today's cars have no design to them.

Watching Buster's episode of Arrested Development season 4.

Oh the Horrors of the 70s?!:eusa_doh::eeek: I tried to forget all that and now you bring it up again....:eeek:
To show you how bad the 70s were for American made cars, this was the fastest American production vehicle in 1978! All I can say is, far out man.

Saw one down from where I work this past Friday.
It was in great condition, but I didn't hear it run because it was parked.
Since they were only made a few years it could be a collectors item. Could be....

Last night it was the Bob Newhart show.
Carol quits her job, joins his group, only to find out she's miserable not working for Bob.
Complete with plaid suits, macramé for the hanging plants, and orange carpet.

70's = Leisure suits, urban cowboy chic, fashion by Bozo, Disco, Smokey and the Bandit Movies, CB Radio and trucker wannabiees. The 70's gave us Vans and Shag Wagons, mullett haircuts, Hair Bands. Very few things of lasting worth. In the 70's union excess combined with corporate greed, began the long slow decline of this country as an industrial power. The 70's was when the idea that you gain celebrity and wealth WITHOUT ACTUALLY DOING ANYTHING really began to take hold. Not my idea of a great time in history.

The BBC ran an interesting three part program called In the Flesh. This story furthers the standard zombie genre by focusing on the aftermath of such a plague when a partial cure is developed. Due to the cure for PDS (partially deceased syndrome) people are integrated back into society with family and friends.
The series focused on three individuals who were sent back to their community after treatment. Communities that were decimated during the outbreak and left with little to no government help are told they must welcome back the “enemy” and continue with their lives.
As to be expected the residents are very uncomfortable and hostile with those who returned.
Did anyone else watch this?

Cars and TV x 2:
Watch a few episodes of "Police Story": The cop/crime action is good, but the leisure suits and the chase scenes with giant '70's cars are almost funny. Seeing full-size Mercs and Dodges wallowing and hopping around a curve at sort-of high speed is just plain disconcerting.
Saw an episode of "Hopalong Cassidy" last night: Hoppy and his comical sidekick, Edgar Buchanan, were helping an orphan kid. The kid was played by "TV Tommy Ivo". Any old time hot-rodders remember him and his cars?
