Unusual detective show, Cadfael.
Only watched one episode and turned that off before it finished. The series concerns a detective monk solving crimes in the times around the 12th century. What got to me was the detective work was more reminiscent of a modern detective show analising the evidence, when more than likely the suspect would be tortured till nearly dead and probably maimed for life and confessed to the crime, case solved! Till the criminal did his dirty work again.

Now watching Manchester United V West Ham United in the third round replay of the FA Cup. COME ON YOU HAMMERS!

Foyle's War on DVD. If you like detective stories set in pre-Pearl Harbor Southern England around Hastings. Great period clothing and vehicles. Plenty of Spits and Irvins too.

I highly recommend this series. I've watched all of them and loved every single episode. Very well done.

The Ultimate Guide to the American Presidents Part 2 on the History Channel.

Good grief. As a historian, I am appalled by their very slanted perspective. This isn't history - it's more like propaganda.

lol I always warn about getting history from TV or movies. I am currently reading about another historical event that I think ten people know about---Nomonhan 1939. You won't see that on "History" but you will see Ancient Aliens:

I like to say that you are good at History (or old) if you can remember when the History Channel was actually about History.

America Unearthed
also on the "History Channel".

Evidently Vikings landed in Arizona. Go figure. Hard rowing on those dragon ships, I guess.

Makes waiting for high tide a bit long doesn't it? ;)

Started Foyle's War episode 1. Wife fell asleep, so I played my Gran Turismo 5 for awhile.
Oh well, we've got tonight and the weekend to start it back up.
