At least Connery looked athletic and had been involved in bodybuilding in his earlier years. Moore did not appear athletic at all. Hiddleston will be a good choice to be in the running triceps or not.

Connery was realistically fit and physical. Lazenby too. Dalton I thought was a Bond body type many of us could aspire to.

Moore could work a room, not a workout. Bresnan was an everyman (well, you know what I mean). Craig was a fit dude before he bulked up for Royale.

Hiddleston has a paratrooper's build, and I think his height would work.

I have also just realized I am getting WAAAAYYYY to into this male physique thing.

We loved Seris 3 of Peaky Blinders. Well paced and plotted - glad they had the nerve to kill off Grace too; I think the show needed that to move it forward. It will be interesting to see where it goes as a story arc for its next two series. Arthur's story needs to be told, in particular - there will doubtless be an arc in which he has to decide between the way he was headed with his wife, and the bak on the booze road to inevitable self-destruction. Then there will be Tommy's attempts to take the family business legit. I think we'll see the Shelby's up to the end of the twenties by the end, though it might be fun to see them active in the thirties - particularly if they got caught up in Cable Street!

We also started watching Z Nation. I'm keeping gonig with it as I'll watch low-level zombie stuff, but Herself has already given up, five episodes in, because it just can't hold a candle to The Walking Dead. Nowhere near as well written or characterised, everything just looks too clean.... Fairplay to them ,though, for killing off Notrick so unexpectedly. We thought he was guaranteed to stick around, especially when they got him together with Notmichonne.

The new Top Gear. Like most American's, I only started to watch the show with the last incarnation. It was later that I learned that there were a lot of former presenters since 1977. So with that, I will give this more of a chance! I wish BBC would air all the former shows going back to 77, like Dr Who, I think it would be fun!

You'd never believe it, but before it beame a show about Jeremy Clarkson's insecurities, it was actually about cars.

Star Trek: Enterprise. I've spent the last few weeks going through all four seasons on Netflix because I hadn't seen them since they originally aired. Except for the last episode, which was just a bad idea, it was a little better than I remembered.

Shamefully, all I can really rmember about it was the awful theme song.... I should look it up, though. I don't think I saw much - I have a feeling that it aired on a channel I didn't get here in the UK.

Not quite. From what I've read, he was fired for punching one of the show's producers (who was later treated at a hospital) and for allegedly calling him a "lazy Irish [expletive deleted]". Also, technically he wasn't "fired"; his contract expired shortly after the incident, and the BBC refused to renew it.

Yes, that's pretty much it. There was a lot of talk about the incident (he only avoided a criminal prosecution forf assault and battery because the victim didn't want to press charges, partly motivated, it seems, by online abuse from Clarkson's fans (including the inevitabled death threats, I believe)). The BBC cravenly ducked out of taking a proper decision on the issue by waiting until the contract expired, then just not renewing it. (Interestingly, I hear the BBC has now saved GBP8million a year on its wages bill since the departure of Bully Boy Clarkson and his sniggering sidekicks).

As a theme song, I really don't think it's that bad; it's just a poor choice for a Star Trek series.

Unfortunately you're probably right. It's of no interest to me (I see it as a distint part of the regrettable dumbing down of the BBC brand), but Clarkson and his sniggering cronies deserved itg to be a roraring success without them. Still, the world's not always fair, is it?

Finally able to watch the last episode of aforesaid GoT as the satellite receiver has been replaced and finally operational.

I'm not sure what episode some others here watched, but we thought it was well paced and expertly plotted (obvious? Of course, what did we expect to happen?!).

Probably the best episode in an uneven season.

Dear producers and writers: For next season, bring back the real Tyrion, and some proper dialogue would be nice! And if you're going to use Richard E. Grant, DO NOT WASTE HIS TALENT! Thanks for the Ian McShane though, he was used properly!

A late-run episode of the 1990s Hercules, and one of Xena, Warrior Princess. Both were much jokier than I recalled either series being back then, though I know both had the occasional "fun" episode. But the casting of Lucy Lawless remains the best, along with the casting of deities Aphrodite, Discord, and Ares. All three *looked* exactly as the goddesses of love and, well, discord, and the god of war should look.

I know that I could watch them on dvd or Netflix, but it's nice to see them on tv like the should be. Some Andy Griffith right now would be fun. Thank goodness for the channels who still show these wonderful programs.
