What was the last TV show you watched?

The Blacklist. Good episode with a surprise twist at the end I was NOT expecting.

It was a good one. Spader had a nice hat too.

Heroes Reborn. Happy to see it gaining momentum. Almost lost me. & am quite surprised one of the past characters whose resurfaced as a villain. Definitely didn't see that one coming.

Big Bang Theory. It's neither clever nor funny anymore at a consistent clip. Bound to happen this far into it, but kind of sad to see that they mostly rely on character and not situation or arc. The relationships were a decent addition, but they're like mud at this point.

Life in Pieces. I continue to like this show a lot. The youngest grandkid is going to be uncannily beautiful. It's creepy to say, but you can see it ten miles away. Dianne Wiest has a great voice, and though she's pretty much been typecast, she still makes a nice mark.

Re Run of Burke's Law. I last saw this as a kid in the 1960s, I was car mad and loved the Rolls Royce. Apart from the car, today there was relatively nothing in it to differentiate it from other cop shows apart from Amos Burke being a millionaire police captain.

Why the heck do we need Christmas advertising from the beginning of November? The first of December is near enough and now we have stores competing for the most thought provoking sentimental rubbish. It's a good job I watch most things on catch up so I can fast forward through the tat.

That certainly made my day. Holms carries herself as a champion should. Rousey (a great fighter) has been a louse and a bully since Day One. A champion should be humble and honorable.

Yes it is popcorny fare. The wife and I watch it with our son who enjoys it. I find there are good and bad elements of both programs. If only I could edit the garbage and produce one great show!

I have tried to watch both shows on numerous occasions, but (other than the first episode of The Flash) I cannot make it through a whole episode. The Flash seems to have the most promise, but it is too bubblegumish for me. So many are raving about how good both shows are, maybe it is time to give them another chance.

I understand how you feel. They are both too bubblegum for my admittedly outgrown comic book tastes which run more along the lines of Watchmen and Netflix Daredevil. I am looking forward to the Netflix Jessica Jones series!

It helps to have a younger viewer around for me to get through The Flash and Arrow. I complain a lot less about the hokey dialogue and shoehorning in of every character as a potential superhero when there is a younger viewer around.

Gave the brain an hour off tonight! I watched Phineas & Ferb: O.W.C.A. Files! Ties in to this sight, since all the animal secret agents wear fedoras, and are seeking the black hat band. All I can say is:

All caught up on The Walking Dead, and starting with Supernatural, have seen the first two episodes from this season. Loving both so far!

The problem with Arrow is it's somewhat formulaic:

1. Introduce new threat to hero.
2. Flashback to similar problem from his past.
3. Fistfight.
4. Someone loses control kills or almost kills someone...
5. Someone discovers they've been lied to and gets mad.
6. Show muscles for the tween girls to swoon over...
7. Defeat the villain...
8. Reconcile hurt feelings...

I can understand why someone as astute as yourself would have a hard time with either show. "The Flash" is lighter and more acceptable. "Arrow" is darker.... it's hero having put bodies in the ground in bunches...
