Difficult time sleeping last night....so I watched ' The Wolf of Wall Street ' on FX. I must say....absolutely the worst movie that I've ever wasted my time on. Full of extreme debauchery, drugs, excess and poor over-acting. Plus terrible juvenile depiction of sales manipulation and over the top rah rah phony enthusiasm. Just awful...o_O
HD

100% agree with you. I couldn't watch most of it because of the extreme debauchery. It was just...gross.

Scientist Cal Meacham (Rex Reason) solves a mysterious puzzle that allows him access to a highly secretive program -- led by the mysterious Exeter (Jeff Morrow) -- that has assembled the world's greatest scientific minds in an attempt to quickly learn how to generate and store nuclear power. But with the help of fellow scientists Ruth Adams (Faith Domergue) and Steve Carlson (Russell Johnson), Meacham soon discovers that his host is not what he claims to be.
Initial release: 1955

The "El Rey" network had a Godzilla Fest a couple of days ago. Got to see some truly terrible movies from the 90's and newer featuring without a doubt the worst dubbing in the history of all mankind. Stupid but fun!

Watching those dreadful movies got me ta thinkin'. I've a few suggestions...

"Godzilla Vs. Madea" - See the King of the Monsters battle the most annoying film creature America has ever produced! Not recommended for anyone under 20.

"Godzilla Vs. Congress" - Can radioactive bad breath spur these dullards to put out the flames on their own butts?"

"Godzilla Vs. The W.W.E. - Watch your fave rasslers go toe to toe with big boy in a "no holds Barred, Steel Death Cage Rumble for humanity!"

That is what the el rey network is known for and sometimes I like it (John Carpenter flicks). Other than showings of The X-Files, I can only take it in small doses.

I love this channel for showing the great martial arts films we watched in the 80s.

In your opinion would you consider the martial arts films of 60's and 70's China's equivalent of our Westerns?

Worf
Great question! I do not know enough about China's relationship to the martial arts films of the 60s/70s to say. I'd love to hear from anyone who knows if these films were in any way a zeitgeist of the society from which they sprang.
