What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

James,

Yes, you knew there was a reason you liked me..little did you know it was due to my love of Lee Van Cleef! I have tons of his flicks. Have you ever seen 'Kansas City Confidential'? It's a 50s flim noir that he was in; a good flick!

Way to go on getting a bunch of his movies for $7!

I recently finished watching a TV series he was in called 'The Master.' Not very good, but, hey it's Lee!

Kansas City Confidential! One of my favorites. It was his first film after he got back from the service too. Hard to get used to him with lots of black hair. :p

The Master! I didn't see much of it when it first came out but it kind of reminded me of A-Team without the extra team members. :p

Next up tonight is Death Rides a Horse. :p

I knew there was something I liked about you. :p I bought a set of Spag Westerns and there were several Lee Van Kleef films in there. For $7? I am there. :p
Grand Duel was not his best but it was still a Lee Van Kleef movie. :p
The best opening theme song in a western:

Gangs of New York.

One of those films I instantly dismissed as rubbish. When this came out I honestly thought it was about the Hip Hop culture with Bloods and Crips type gangs, yes even though it starred two white lead actors and no black names I recognised.
Turns out it is a quite interesting film on the start of the Five Points crime gangs of the 19th century that would spawn the likes of Johnny Torrio and Al Capone. Also I have just started reading the book by Herbert Asbury on which the film was based. How accurate the depiction of this era is, I have yet to decide but I usually go with the book.

" A Fistful of Dollars"

If possible check the "Italian" version of this film. It's a reversal with Eastwood's dialog being dubbed.
The sound effects & audio really comes alive. Note the images as well...

James, how did you like 'Death Rides a Horse'?

I watched a Canadian version of 'Hound of the Baskervilles' done in 2000 with Max Headroom.

It was great. I had forgotten the beginning but now I remember. I also watched Kid Vengence. It is hard to see Lee play a bad guy and even my sons just couldn't get used to it. For me, it was hard to see Leif Garrett that young because I know how he looks now.

Nice and clean but I have to see one in English because subtitles make my eyes cross.

Sincerely sorry.
Must be annoying !
I also speak Italian & Spanish . I mentioned this because
people have asked me if I dream in English or
other languages. :eusa_doh:

I have had dreams in color...but never "dubbed". ;)

Just spent 2 plus hours enduring "Les Miserables". My eyes are sore from dabbing and crying... my ears are sore from listening to R. Crowe singing!! Actually he wasn't as bad a folks lead me to believe... Not to bad for a man with no range and little voice. Hugh Jackman tore that chit up though. DD Lewis was good but Jackman was better.

Allo James, I love Lee as a bad guy! However he's amazing every way.

Thanks for telling me Max Headroom's name...I quite forgot! He was terrible as Sherlock Holmes in the movie I watched. Icky pooh!
