Love L.A. city hall in the background. I saw the crew film part of this in Chinatown about eight months ago. Do you know if Anthony Mackie's character of Coleman Harris (3rd from the right) was based on a real detective of the time? There actually were a few Blacks on the LAPD in the late-'40s.

A couple of nights ago, "The Watch." It wasn't really what I thought it would be. It had a few moments. Vince Vaughn and Jonah Hill had their moments.

Here is a photo and article about the actual 'Squad'. I don't see a black detective in the photo. I tend to think that 'Coleman Harris' is a fiction. -dixon cannon
