Swing Kids turned out to be quite ok. The last part was not up to the level of the first part, but enjoyable none the less I really loved the ballroom scenes, and the depiction of their swing life in general.

I watched The Bucket List on television last night. Not one that had ever attracted me, as despite the quality of the leads it smelled as if it was going to be cloyingly sentimental. Actually, it wasn't so bad.

Now there was a Movie. So many messages hidden in the movie. It is a time capsule. Many things like Vichy water scene, the national anthem duel and several other scenes portray the many ideas and things that were happening at the time.

That was a good one filmed about a miles from my house---same street just the end of it. The Dunsmuir mansion served as the house for the movie. Some friends played hookey and got Roger Moore's autograph when they heard they were filming in town.
The Theme song wasn't bad either.

Trees Lounge. One of the most "real" films I've seen in some time.

Watched a great film called Act of Violence. Cast includes Van Heflin, Robert Ryan, Mary Astor and Janet Leigh. Hefin plays a modest and successful business/family man who is stalked by a former soldier buddy.
Robert Ryan is perfectly cast as the menacing stalker.
