Wally, you sure you don't mean A Christmas Carol? I love film-versions of that book. They're so wonderful to watch. I must've seen nearly all of them. Including the very first film made in 1935, called 'Scrooge'.

In fact, for those who want a Golden Era version of 'A Christmas Carol', here it is:

Or if that does nothing for you, you can try the one from 1951:

And of course, the original 1948 Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer cartoon:

Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Wasn't quite what I was expecting, and that was a relief, since I thought the end would more or less be the end of human civilization. Of course it made me think of something that I recently read in the local paper.... the movie's premise was that a virus was being used to reconstruct brain cells as a cure for Alzheimer's, and it ended up that the virus was deadly to humans. There is a hospital in my area (Penn State University Hershey Medical Center) where a cancer research doctor has started developing a virus that will alter cancer cells in order to treat or cure the disease. The zombie-apocalypse is nigh!

Casablanca, again, on a Aquos LED TV for the first time. AMAZING technology. Gotta get one, I think I might put a hold on buying my next 5-6 hats, it's that good.

We really liked it. The cast was excellent, and you felt like you were in Sweden. Nicely done with music by Trent Reznor (NIN).
The opening credits were also very cool and dark and set the mood. Not without some hard to watch scenes, but if you're familiar with the series, I think it's very well done and enjoyed it quite a bit.
