When I think Sharkskin, I think late '50s/early '60s. With that in mind, I'd go with simple black calf leather split toes. Something sleek. Something like this:

I think it would depend greatly on the suit's cut. A more modern cut would certainly rule out wingtips... The one suggestion you have is good since it would tend to emphasize the suit, not the shoes. Another option would be those zip up boots, but personally I hate those.

That taps out my sartorial knowledge.

Probably, if it is a skinny suit, which I would guess, a skinny tie. Maybe silk knit for contrast. I second the boots idea.
