Good day Folks!
Because of summer season items being on sale this winter, I'm trying gather as much as I can, to be ready for the sun.
I've purchased some linen shirts and linen trousers, but now I'm looking for some shoes to match them.

Since I've always wore synthetic sneakers during summer, I'd like to go for leather, but I'm not sure which way should I go - all tips appreciated.

For now I'm eyeing Panama Jack Gadner or Julius models, pictures below:

Please share photos or Yours, really hoping for on-feet photos, so I can see how they look paired with trousers.

Thank You.

These are the custom shop Vellies I ordered this past summer.
I have had absolutely zero problem wearing these or my beater rough out Vellies with thin no show athletic socks during the past 2 100°f-110°f+ northern California summers.

I love the Vellies for their wide toe box, but they do also offer their lower top shoelies which just may be more of what you're after.
If the wide toe box interested you ( it's the best ) it can be custom ordered on this last from their custom shop.
If I remember correctly my upgraded custom shop Vellies were only $225 shipped to my door from the factory in south Africa.
They normally only run about $130, and can even be had for $100 under their frequent sales.
No they may not be the most sleek dressy upscale looking shoes or boots, but they are good quality rugged and comfortable.

January in London, and I'm trying not to think about the hellheat that will descend in May and plague us until September. When it comes, though... I wil wear leather shoes as normal forcmuch of it. Penny loafers work well, being low shoes thry leave more of my foot exposed (in a sock. I never leave the house without socks on). I've sadly found the heat harder to bear as I've aged, so last year for the first time in maybe two decades I picked up a couple of pairs of sneakers. Not a fan of sneakers at all, but needs must. Just the clasic vans that look like regular shoes but in canvas with rubber soles. Vans Classics have been around since 66, though they are of a style that dates a decade or two earlier. The slip on pair are handy for flying in when it's too hot for a proper shoe. Next Summer Inplan also to try a Clarks desert boot.
