A bowl of a very dark English called "St. Charles Blend" from local tobacconist , quite nice.
I also placed an order with The Country Squire, a tobacconist in Mississippi.
2oz of Stokkebye Luxury Bullseye Flake
They also offer a line of Middle Earth themed blends that have very good reviews so I ordered their sampler pack (6 blends).
You piqued my curiosity about the County Squire's Middle Earth blends. Unfortunately, their site is down. Can you tell me more?

Wizard Weed. I think Bushman had some of those so you might get him to weigh in.

I've been to the Little Big Horn Battlefield a couple of times & bought a mix from a Lakota tribal member called Grandfather's Spirit. It was quite good but I know of no way to contact him anymore.

Yesterday I tried the Maltese Falcon blend by G.L. Pease.
WOW! I really like this blend. A fantastic English with a slightly sweet flavor and a bit of a molasses undertone.
If you like very forward Cyprian latakia blends this one needs to be on your 'to do' list.

Cheers!

Will do.

Today's smoke was Ole Shenandoah Drunken Cherry (used to be called Bootlegger).
I have never been completely happy with most cherry blends, many seem to have a bitter undertone and/or tend to be tongue-biters.
This blend is really good and doesn't seem to suffer from those issues, So I am very pleased and really enjoyed this one. It will adequately fill my aromatic cherry smoke needs for the time being.
I am open to suggestions of other cherry blends. what do ya'll like?

Cheers!

I'm not a fan of Cherry anything so have no recommendations for you. But in the case of all aeros I think a cherry cased blend (flavoring added when it is put into the press) vs a cherry topped blend (flavoring added as a topping just before tobacco is cut) would be milder & not produce tongue bite. Aero cased seems to always be preferable.

Good Afternoon Gents,

There have been a few good suggestions in this thread. I'm curious as to your favourites - what's your "on a desert island combo"? Mine would undoubtedly be C&D Bayou Morning Flake in a Savinelli 311KS poker - best VaPer I can think of.

Currently I have some Borkum Riff Cherry Cavendish, which is pretty good; an excellent local blend called Green Mountain (it's heavy on the Latakia, though, so it's not an every-time smoke); and some Haunted Bookshop, which tastes like cigarettes. I haven't really spent much time with my pipe in months, though, which suggests I should probably try to find something new.

I really enjoyed Benjamin Hartwell's Evening Stroll but it was discontinued. Does anyone know where I might find something comparable?

I really like this blend. I need to get a couple more tins and put them in the cellar to age.

This blend is a mild, pleasant smoke but not very remarkable. I will age it awhile and see what happens.
